The Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel will be open for tomorrow morning’s commute, Gov. Cuomo announced.

Both tubes of the tunnel — which was flooded with millions of gallons of water during Superstorm Sandy — will reopen to traffic in both directions starting at 6 a.m. Trucks are still banned from the tunnel until further notice.

MTA Chairman Joe Lhota said reopening the tunnel, recently renamed the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel, is “yet another step in restoring a sense of normalcy to the region.”

But other city commuters aren’t so lucky.

In the subways, the R train won’t be running between Brooklyn and Manhattan for several weeks.

Service operates in two sections, between 34th Street-Herald Square and Forest Hills, and Jay Street-MetroTech and Bay Ridge-95 Street.
